Tina, hands down ideapark’s best Art Director, passed this link along to me. Box Tops for Education was written up in an article on Advertising Age’s site. That’s kind of a big deal and I’m proud to say I was part of that project for over 4 years.
June 27 is the day that: Helen Keller was born, Albert R. Broccoli passed away, and U.S. Route 66 ceases to be an official U.S. highway.(via Wikipedia)
It also marks my last day at ideapark. I’ve been here for 4 years and was the first hire for Brian, Mike and Ken after they took over the company. I was 22 at the time and could barely tie my shoes. Now, I’m a wise and learned adult and 27. I’ve learned a lot and have grown tremendously during my time here to say the least. I could write about many stories from being the 10th employee when I first started, to all the Mac nerdery that Brian I have talked about, and all the countless Macworlds that made my ability to work come to a screeching hault, or the all the great art direction/life advice that Tina gave me through the years. I have so many stories about everyone at ideapark and when I think back on them all, I realize how lucky I was to have worked there and with so many great people.
I will certainly take a lot with me as I move forward. For me, the hardest part about moving on, is going to be the simple fact that I won’t be able see my friends at ideapark on a daily basis.
As I write this, I realize that it hasn’t fully set in that today is my last day. But that first Monday that I don’t come in will be the day that it becomes a reality.
Until then, thanks to everyone at ideapark for making these last four years so great. I will miss you all very much.
Tonight was a nice change of pace. I met up with Aron, Jasmine, and Marcie to go to the Jack Johnson show in Somerset Wisconsin. The opening acts were Money Mark and Mason Jennings who were great. All around it was a great show, great weather, great food, and great company. I think you could safely say that great times were had.
This past weekend I got to puppy-sit one of sweetest little dogs. Her name is Bianca and she’s a two year old Pomeranian-American Eskimo pup. Probably one of the cutest dogs too. But enough about her. Here’s a clip of me playing tag with Bianca.
